It's still a bit strange, though. I wouldn't even consider looking at a photo's info on the off chance they use an iPhone and on the off chance they kept location services on.

Fascinating info about the iPhone pics, freddie! Thanks for the tip. Does it matter if you upload the pic to TinyPic? Since it gets resized, etc... I assume all that tagged info would be wiped. Or is it in the original .jpg encoding??? Freaky. Damn Apple

The information stays intact. You can upload it to Facebook and one can just save the picture into your computer and still be able to see the location.

What I usually do if I can't be bother turning off the location services is I take a screen grab of the picture I just took, delete the original and use the screen grab. The screen grab won't display a location.

You don't actually, 'cause thankfully the location is a bit off. It always is when I use the maps app at home. I can't even get 3G where I live.

You get an accurate location on the pics I take home.

Sometimes it classes my location as the middle of town, cause it can't be anymore accurate.

I remember Slinky taking a pix in his house before he went on his trip to India (was it India? I can't remember now) and he was showing off his new phone. Anywho his geo tagging was WAY off! It said he lived in the middle of the North Sea!

The geo tagging is great for when you go on a trip though. Tells you what places you visited.

yes what you can do on iphone is open a new project on photoshop and PASTE the pic, this way the tag will fade.
